Enter in through the gate first, the whole grounds, 5-6 acres, is surrounded with a fence. Then you come to the guest house, this is where we are staying for the 6 weeks while we are here. It has a boys wing, girls wing and a common eating area, kitchen and lounge. We are staying in a family section of the house, where there is a double bed and an end room with a bunk bed and one single bed. Isaac is staying in the boys wing alone, we three girls share a room and mom and dad have their own.
Next as you drive in, you pass the school building. The kids are in school here from 730am til 4pm.
Next comes the Shamba ( garden ). It is very large and well kept. Banana groves, greenhouse with a variety of vegetables and sugar cane trees, guava fruit.
Then in another gated area is the home where the children sleep and eat. A playroom, basketball court, swingset. Boys dorm, girls dorm and baby room.
This is The Dining Hall, where they eat in shifts, all 66 kids can’t fit in the dining hall at one time, unless tables are out for church service.
Very interesting, Lizzy! Good job!
